In our separate study with the pea, we showed that disease susceptibility to infection by M. pinodes was considerably reduced when LOX (lipoxygenase), AOS (allene oxide synthase), AOC (allene oxide cyclase) or OPR (12-oxophytodienoic acid reductase) were silenced (Toyoda et al., 2013b). This evidence concerns the gene ARHGAP31 and infection.
