At 12–15 weeks of age, Csrp3−/− mice expressing Mg29 had significantly improved t-tubule integrity compared to control Csrp3−/− mice expressing only the single tTA transgene (Fig. 2a,d), including a reduction in longitudinal t-tubule elements that is a hallmark of heart failure (Fig. 2a,c). Here, CSRP3 is linked to heart failure.
