Hassin-Baer S et al. [25] examined the serum of patients with both SS and PD, and found high titers of anti-beta2-glycoprotein IgG, which is an autoantibody strongly associated with anti-cardiolipin antibodies (aCL), antiphospholipid syndrome, and thromboembolic phenomena. The gene discussed is ACLY; the disease is antiphospholipid syndrome.
