BAG3 is a pro-survival co-chaperone that is highly expressed in various tumors and its aberrant upregulation is correlated with the poor prognosis of some cancers, including pancreatic, glioblastoma and thyroid.15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23 Consistent with these reports, the current study reported that BAG3 was aberrantly upregulated in breast cancer tissues, and a high BAG3 expression level predicted poor overall survival of patients with breast cancer. The gene discussed is BAG3; the disease is breast carcinoma.
