The tumor tissues with positive cleaved caspase-3 staining were associated with a shorter DFS in univariate analysis (Table 3, crude hazard ratio [CHR] = 1.57, 95% CI 1.02–2.41, p = 0.041), but this association was not statistically significant in the multivariate analysis (Table 3, adjusted hazard ratio [AHR] = 1.54, 95% CI 1.00–2.40, p = 0.053). This evidence concerns the gene CASP3 and neoplasm.
