CXCL16 and glioblastoma: Interestingly, when we investigated the expression of CXCL16 in fast migrating in comparison to slowly-migrating cells isolated from freshly-dissected glioblastomas, as described previously [26], we could show that in most investigated glioblastomas, CXCL16 expression was elevated in fast migrating cells in comparison to slowly-migrating ones (Figure 4D), which may indicate that high CXCL16 levels might favor migratory potential in glioblastomas.
