TGFB1 and cancer: The results showed that the differentially expressed genes in the five gene sets primarily participate in the biological processes involved in the regulation of locomotion, cell adhesion, biological adhesion, regulation of cell migration, cell motion, cell migration, and response to wounding (see Supplementary Table S2); these genes were also enriched in cancer-related pathways, such as focal adhesions, pathways in cancer, extracellular matrix (ECM)-receptor interactions, the TGFβ signaling pathway and the regulation of the actin cytoskeleton (see Supplementary Table S3).
