ALB and Jaundice: Preoperative examinations showed levels of serum albumin were higher in Group A compared with Group B (40.2 ± 4.1 g/L vs 37.7 ± 4.7 g/L, P = .013), suggesting the possibility that overall health conditions of Group B were worse than Group A. There were no differences between 2 groups in serum total bilirubin levels (P = .390) or jaundice (P = .294).
