In sex–age–SE adjusted analysis (Table 3), there was no association between smoking status (Table 3, A, former and current vs. never) with either RA-overall (p = 0.89 and p = 0.13, respectively), ACPA-positive RA (p = 0.93 and p = 0.20, respectively), RF-positive RA (p = 0.87 and p = 0.12, respectively), or the presence of radiographic erosions (p = 0.81 and p = 0.68, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene PRTN3 and rheumatoid arthritis.
