CCND1 and colonic neoplasm: Consistent with these findings, another study showed that tocotrienol-rich fraction extracted from palm oil could reduce β-catenin expression and cyclin D1 and survivin expression in colon cancer xenografts inoculated in mice [75], thereby demonstrating the ability of tocotrienols to inhibit cell proliferation through the down-regulation of the Wnt/β-catenin pathway.
