OLR1 and cardiovascular disorder: The lectin-like oxidized low-density lipoprotein receptor-1 (LOX-1) is the main receptor involved in the uptake of oxidized low-density lipoprotein (oxLDL) and it has been well-studied in cardiovascular diseases such as atherosclerosis [9] and has been shown to be increased in preeclampsia [10–12], which is characterized by systemic endothelial dysfunction.
