Fig 5C demonstrated Bazedoxifene repressed cell invasion through Matrigel coated membranes. To further examine whether Bazedoxifene could potentially decreased rhabdomyosarcoma cells invasion, we treated RH30 and RH28 cells with two different concentrations of Bazedoxifene, and found that Bazedoxifene can also significantly inhibit invasion of aggressive rhabdomyosarcoma cells (Fig 5D). All these data from the above experiments suggests that Bazedoxifene targeting IL-6/GP130/STAT3 inhibits angiogenesis and cell invasion in vitro. The gene discussed is STAT3; the disease is rhabdomyosarcoma.
