Interestingly, three human GBM lines (BT114, BT116, BT120) had a lower IC50 of 21.59 μM (p = 0.08, 95% CI(17.48–26.67)) (Fig 4C), suggesting that GBM cells might be sensitive to SFN-mediated killing at concentrations that inhibit MIF but are not toxic to leukocytes. This evidence concerns the gene SFN and glioblastoma.
