Increasing doses of ghrelin, 12.5, 25 or 50 μg/kg given intraperitoneally 30 min prior to the induction of CIP, resulted in a statistically significant reduction in plasma concentration of TNF-α to the level of 24.0 ± 2.5, 11.8 ± 1.5, and 9.0 ± 1.0 pg/mL, respectively (Figure 6). Here, TNF is linked to hereditary sensory and autonomic neuropathy.
