Compared to the controls median concentrations of leptin were lower in ALS patients (7.3 vs. 9.7 ng/L), while median concentrations of adiponectin and hs-CRP were higher (9.6 vs. 7.5 μg/L and 1.31 vs. 1.14 mg/L, respectively). This evidence concerns the gene LEP and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis.
