S100A8 and infection: Logistic regression analysis showed a lower risk of infection with virulent CagA-positive H. pylori in frequent honey consumers >5 days/week (OR, 0.65; 95% confidence interval (CI), 0.486–0.859) and yoghurt consumers (OR, 0.56; 95% CI, 0.341–0.921) compared with that in the other subjects (Table 2).
