In our study, we detected greater levels of Foxo1 mRNA in the TA than in the DIA at day 3 post-infection, suggesting that Foxo1 may contribute to the up-regulation of Lc3b, Gabarapl1, and Bnip3 that is seen in the TA in response to infection (Figure 2). This evidence concerns the gene GABARAPL1 and infection.
