However previous studies have shown that the serum level of vaspin is positively correlated with the BMI (32), fat percentage, waist circumferences, and waist-to-hip ratio (33) and has been reported as a predictor of metabolic disorders such as obesity, metabolic syndrome (34), insulin resistance, dyslipidemia (35), and hypertension (36), but, in the present study, serum vaspin concentrations were not related to MUHS or body composition components in both subjects with MHS and subjects with MUHS.
