Although one BL cell line (SUM149) exhibited some mitotic accumulation in the presence of colcemid, this result is likely due to the presence of a subpopulation of CL cells found in this cell line.34 Taken together, these data suggest that the combined cohesion defects and aberrant SAC function identified in the BL class may contribute to the high levels of genomic instability observed in BL breast cancers. The gene discussed is ADCY10; the disease is breast carcinoma.
