Adoptive transfer of Apoe−/−/Baffr−/− mice with Il-10−/− B cells did not alter BAFF levels (Supplementary Fig. S17b) but resulted in a significant reduction of IL-10 production in splenocytes (Fig. 4a), splenic B cells (Figs 4b and S18) and CD1dhiCD5+ B cells (data not shown), and was associated with a significant acceleration of atherosclerosis (Fig. 4c). The gene discussed is TNFSF13B; the disease is atherosclerosis.
