Baseline fasting insulin was significantly increased in PCOS (Supplemental Table 1), but AUC values for insulin across the DHEA challenge (pmol/L·min) did not differ significantly between PCOS and controls (14,672 ± 4120 vs 8043 ± 2958, P = 0.21) [Fig. 2(b)].
