Given that β-arrestin 2 is critical in the regulation of GSK3 activation, which is involved in IR-induced renal fibrosis, we determined the effect of chronic alcohol treatment on the protein levels of β-arrestin 2, Akt, pAkt (Thr308), GSK3β and pGSK3β (Ser 9). This evidence concerns the gene GSK3B and renal fibrosis.
