Decreased expression of miR-200b was reported to predict poor prognosis of ESCC patients and create malignant phenotype via modulation of Kindlin-2.21, 22 We found that miR-200b could bind to the 3′-UTR of Kindlin-2 and modulate expression of Kindlin-2 in KYSE30 and Eca109 cells (Figures 5a–c). This evidence concerns the gene FERMT2 and esophageal squamous cell carcinoma.
