In addition, with normalization to cell number, we detected a significant reduction of hypoxia-induced glucose uptake (Fig. 2e and Supplementary Fig. 6e) and lactate production (Fig. 2f and Supplementary Fig. 6f) in the LncHIFCAR-knockdown SAS cells, suggesting that LncHIFCAR is essential for glycolysis in hypoxia and confers a proliferation advantage to hypoxic oral cancer cells.
