CEACAM5 and carcinoma: In an in vitro study by Garnett et al. (55) using several carcinoma cell lines, it was shown that after irradiation with γ-rays (10–20 Gy), WiDr, Caco-2, SW620, SW1463, and HCT116 cells were more sensitive to CTL-mediated lysis primed against carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA), while A549 cells responded to Fas-mediated cell lysis.
