Nevertheless, the finding that Kaiso overexpression exerts distinct effects on Notch1, Dll-1 and Jagged-1 may still be physiologically relevant, since Kaiso expression is elevated in several diseases, including breast [49, 58], prostate [59], and colon cancer [24, 26], and in some cases of Crohn’s disease (our unpublished data). This evidence concerns the gene ZBTB33 and Crohn disease.
