The inhibitors of epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) tyrosine kinase, have been approved for the treatment of non–small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC) and other solid tumours to inhibit proliferation of cancer cells [2, 3].To date, 14 small molecule kinase inhibitors have been approved for targeted cancer therapy by the Food and Drug Administration. This evidence concerns the gene EGFR and lung cancer.
