Greater proportions of patients had CRP levels of either at least 2 mg/l or at least 3 mg/l among those with high TG levels and/or low HDL-C levels than in the overall population, with between approximately 60 and 70% of patients with markers of atherogenic dyslipidemia having CRP levels of at least 2 mg/l, and between 45 and 50% having CRP levels of at least 3 mg/l (Fig. 5). Here, CRP is linked to metabolic syndrome.
