In an in vitro three-dimensional (3D) culture study to explore the molecular changes involved in inclusion cyst formation and tumor invasion, we have identified concurrent elevated expression of miR-200 family members (miR-200a, miR-200b, miR-200c, miR-141, and miR-429) and the effector protein E-cadherin (CDH1) in the cancer 3D cultures compared to the 3D cultures derived from normal human ovarian surface epithelial (OSE) cells [26].
