In detail, PCOS patients with an elevated LH/FSH ratio had a better pregnancy rate when treated with GnRH agonist protocols than with GnRH antagonist protocols, probably because the long GnRH agonist induces prolonged LH suppression milieu thereby avoiding the negative effect of higher LH levels on reproductive outcome (21, 23, 24). This evidence concerns the gene BRD2 and polycystic ovary syndrome.
