Novel PET/CT agents such as gallium-68 (68Ga)- prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) may also become useful in differentiating benign 18F-FDG avid prostate incidentalomas from malignant ones, as several studies have recently reported prostate cancer detection rates by 68Ga-PSMA PET/CT imaging in the range of 90-100% (33,34,35). The gene discussed is FOLH1; the disease is Familial prostate cancer.
