In the current set of analyses, we applied the simulation results using actual registry data to answer a relevant clinical question in the care of patients with rheumatoid arthritis (RA); namely, is use of non-tumor necrosis factor inhibitor (TNFi) biologic disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (bDMARDs) associated with a higher risk of infection than use of a TNFi? This evidence concerns the gene TNF and rheumatoid arthritis.
