GNRH1 and metastatic prostate carcinoma: For metastatic prostate cancer, androgen deprivation therapy (ADT) is the standard treatment, and ADT can be achieved either by surgical castration through bilateral orchiectomy or medical castration through the use of luteinizing hormone-releasing hormone (LH-RH) agonists (i.e., leuprolide acetate) or LH-RH antagonists (i.e., degarelix acetate).
