Apart from the reduction in serum troponin- I levels in mice treated with DOX in combination with fidarestat, decreased levels of pro-inflammatory cytokines like G-CSF, IL-1α, IL-1β, TNF-α, IL-6, IL-15, and IP-10 (Supplementary Table 1) were observed in the serum of tumor-bearing mice treated with DOX in combination with fidarestat compared to DOX alone, indicating anti-inflammatory role of fidarestat.
