Among HIV-infected participants, CD4 cell count was associated with dyslipidemia, with those having a CD4 cell count <350 cells/μl having a 30% higher likelihood of having dyslipidemia compared to those with CD4 cell count >350 cells/μl (PR = 1.31, 95% CI: 1.04, 1.41, p = 0.001). Here, CD4 is linked to metabolic syndrome.
