Similarly, treatment with SGLT2 inhibitors decreased urinary albumin excretion in patients with type 2 diabetes who showed both microalbuminuria and macroalbuminuria.11 In the present descriptive case study, SGLT2 inhibitors tended to decrease urinary albumin/creatinine ratio, but these changes were not statistically significant (p=0.16).
