Low-density lipoprotein (LDL) receptor-related protein-1 (LRP1, also called α2MR or CD91), a member of the LDL receptor family, is involved in not only lipid metabolism but also various pathophysiologic processes such as Alzheimer’s disease, atherosclerosis, inflammation, and coagulation (1). Here, LRP1 is linked to early-onset autosomal dominant Alzheimer disease.
