A comparison of the detection rates of GNAS mutations in FD samples from 15 FD patients that were either decalcified or undercalcified also indicated that the detection rate of GNAS mutation was much higher in undercalcified tissues (9/15, 60.0%) than in decalcified tissues (2/15, 13.3%, p = 0.021). Here, GNAS is linked to Fabry disease.
