They reported that HFD-induced obese male Golden Syrian hamsters supplemented with different doses of NJ showed diminished biomarkers of liver damage, namely alanine transaminase (ALT), along with diminished TNF-α, IL-1β, inducible nitric oxide synthase (iNOS), cyclooxygenase 2 (COX-2), and metalloproteinase 9 (MMP9) levels, and improved morphological characteristics of hepatic steatosis, such as a decrease in microvesicular steatosis and blurred cellular boundaries. Here, PTGS2 is linked to Hepatic steatosis.
