The studies conducted on mice with imiquimod-induced psoriasis-like dermatitis demonstrated that severity of skin lesions was strongly correlated with free fatty acids (FFAs) concentration [32], and obese mice have increased expression of psoriasis mediators, interleukin-17A (IL-17A) and IL-22 in the skin, compared to the control mice [21]. Here, IL22 is linked to psoriasis.
