Specifically, the results from group II corroborate the findings of Krötzsch et al. [1] and Furuzawa-Carballeda et al. [31], who studied the in situ expression of proinflammatory and profibrogenic cytokines in biopsies of hypertrophic scars and in skin lesions caused by scleroderma treated with Collagen-PVP and observed that TGF-β1 expression decreases after treatment. Here, TGFB1 is linked to scleroderma.
