ARS is an important model for glaucoma pathogenesis, due the heightened risk of ARS patients to develop early onset glaucoma and their lack of response to glaucoma treatments.[8–10] Mutations leading to abnormal FOXC1 copy number cause ARS and Dandy-Walker syndrome, characterized by abnormal cerebellum development [12,30]. This evidence concerns the gene FOXC1 and Dandy-Walker syndrome.
