TINCR and neoplasm: The G1–S transition in the cell cycle in mammalian cells is controlled by cyclins, cyclin-dependent kinases (CDKs), and their inhibitors, and deregulation of CDK inhibitors is a common feature in tumor cells.21CDKN2B serve as potent growth inhibitors of cell cycle checkpoints.21 Notably, consistent with our recent report, CDKN2B was found to be remarkably upregulated upon TINCR or E2F1 knockdown in MGC803 and AGS cells.
