LIN28A and acute myeloid leukemia: To support our data, we also analyzed two independent publicly available gene expression profiling data sets, one containing 16 CD34+ isolated samples from healthy subjects (GSE 42519), and one with 251 AML patients with newly diagnosed AML (GSE 15434) confirming a significant downregulation of Lin28A in AML patients (230 BM and 21 PB) compared with healthy subjects (Supplementary Figure 1a).
