It has been reported that ZEB2 is upregulated in several types of human cancers, including ccRCC, and overexpression of this protein is positively correlated with tumor metastasis and poor prognosis.26, 35, 36, 37, 38 This is consistent with our findings that miR-30a-5p downregulation is associated with a poor ccRCC prognostic phenotype.
