The characteristic gene expression patterns in pathogenic Th17 cells, including pro-inflammatory cytokines and chemokines (CSF-2 (GM-CSF), IL-17A, IL-17 F, IL-22, CCL3, CCL4, and CCL5) [12], were significantly increased in the Th17 cells of overweight patients with RA. This evidence concerns the gene IL17A and rheumatoid arthritis.
