Zheng et al. found that circulating CD14++CD16− monocytes decreased while CD14+CD16+ monocytes increased in CHC patients when compared to HCV spontaneous resolved and healthy controls, and CD14+CD16+ monocytes were negatively correlated with HCV viremia but PD-L1/CD86 ratio in CD14+CD16+ monocytes was closely correlated with HCV viremia [29]. This evidence concerns the gene CD14 and cryohydrocytosis.
