The 12/15-LO inhibitor baicalein potently interfered with the procoagulant activity of mouse and human eosinophils as well (Fig. 5, H–J), showing that the Alox15-mediated control of plasma coagulation by eosinophils represented an evolutionary conserved mechanism and potential target for pharmacologic intervention during thrombotic disease. Here, ALOX15 is linked to thrombotic disease.
