Nine SNPs were related (P < 0.01 in any one genetic model) to hypertension (Table 4), and five of these SNPs (rs150854849 of DCLRE1C, rs202069030 of DUS2, rs139012426 of LOC100505549, rs12229654 at 12q24.1, rs76974938 of C21orf59) were significantly (P < 1.25 × 10−4) associated with this condition. The gene discussed is DCLRE1C; the disease is hypertensive disorder.
