In fact, available clinical observations in healthy and renal patients mostly describe no relationship with 25D [10,19,23,25,30,31], however, administration of 25D increases Sclerostin levels both in healthy subjects [32] and in CKD-5D [33] while in vitro experiments show that intracellular 1,25D stimulates Sclerostin production by osteocytes [34].
